What the clipping says
The United Presbyterian history says that, before the congregation had a settled resident pastor, ministers of the denomination occasionally passed through Hamilton and preached. It names “the Revs. Rankin Risk and R. H. Bishop,” then notes Bishop's Lexington, Kentucky connection and later presidency of Miami University.
The clipping is significant because “Rankin Risk” is an unusually specific name in the Hamilton church tradition. It is a research lead for the unresolved Rev. Rusk/Risk question, not proof that Risk was the Underground Railroad conductor described by Wilbur Siebert.
